ABOUT MUNDEKULLA RUNNING FESTIVAL
YOUR MUNDEKULLA EXPERIENCE
The Mundekulla 3-day running festival, home to the "Glasriket Ultra Mundekulla 2024" race, is nestled in the picturesque Kingdom of Crystal, also known as “Glasriket”. Surrounded by stunning forests and lakes, this region is a top tourist destination in Sweden, offering a wealth of activities for visitors.
In 2023, Mundekulla hosted for the first time a running event in the Emmaboda / Langasjö region. The frame of a “festival” rather than a “race only” was targeting specifically an audience which wanted to prepare for a great and stress-free running experience on race day by giving time and framework to reduce stress levels during the end of the tapering week, while connecting with other fellow runners and their supporters.
What makes your stay in Mundekulla unique beyond the participation in the running festival and / or one of the races we offer, is the place itself. Mundekulla Eco-Lodge and Retreat Center offers:
-
Swimming ponds,
-
Various Saunas (including an ancient wood-sauna house),
-
Fire-pits for bonfires,
-
Various cottages (such as the sanctuary or the hobbit-house) to retrench and find some precious moments of focus and silence.
-
A FIKA café and shop in our old barn,
-
Forest tracks on the property for walking and jogging leading down to the wilderness camp and up again to the mindfulness garden where the Zen-Viking Tower is inviting for a moment of reflection,
-
Our regenerative garden project does not only provide healthy vegetables, herbs and fruits for the Mundekulla kitchen, but is also inviting visitors and guests for a rest in the middle of the 100+ species of eatable greens we grow.
If you're considering extending your stay at Mundekulla, whether it's before or after the event, feel free to reach out to our team at info@mundekulla.se. We're here to assist you in making the most of your time at Mundekulla!
